About our Highland Games in Fort William & Lochaber

Fort William is host to Lochaber Highland Games which are held on the last Satuday of July each year on the field at An Aird, in the town centre. The park has a great backdrop of Ben Nevis and Cow Hill. Join the fun and parade to the games with the Chieftan who leads the local pipe ban from the High Street to the Games field.  This is a great afternoon event for family and friends.  You can even take park in some of the events if you wish.

PLEASE NOTE: Due a number of circumstances, the Lochaber Highland Games in Fort William will not be held in 2011. However, the Games will be back in 2012 to celebrate the 40th Games.

We recently uploaded some video clips to YouTube which you can watch below. This footage was filmed in 2009 but is fairly representative of what you will see when you visit a Lochaber Highland Games in Fort William. We highly recommend all the other Highland Games organised at Arisaig, Mallaig, Invergarry and of course, world-famous Glenfinnan.
