Annual events in Fort William & Lochaber
Throughout the year in Lochaber there are always things going on both indoors and of course outdoors. We could hardly call ourselves the Outdoor Capital of the UK if the area did not offer the widest possible choice and range of outdoor sports and activities.

Oliver! is based on Charles Dickens' moving tale of Oliver Twist, an orphan boy who escapes from the horrible orphanage only to end up in the company of pick pockets. Featuring musical classics such as "Food, Glorious Food," "I'd Do Anything," "Consider Yourself," and "As Long As He Needs Me," Oliver! continues to captivate children and adults alike.
Oliver! is on stage at the Nevis Centre on 17th, 18th and 19th May. There will be evening performances at 7:30pm on each of these days, PLUS a 2pm Saturday Matinee performance. Tickets are now on sale from the Nevis Centre Box Office 01397 700707 so book early to avoid disappointment.

Ben Nevis Race
The Ben Nevis Race attracts around 500 competitors each year and is one of Fort William's oldest outdoor activity events in the area. The idea is simply to run from the Town Park to the summit of Ben Nevis and all the way back again - as fast as you can!
Current record is 1hr, 24mins !
The event is a great spectator sport and provides lots of opportunities for photos...
