Claggan Fort William
The village of Claggan in Fort William lies at the foot of Ben Nevis and by the River Nevis.
Fort William's Football Club is based in Claggan at what we call The Town Park. Claggan is a residential community with a small number of stores and services. The Ben Nevis Race starts in Claggan each year in September where competitors start their ascents of Ben Nevis along the narrow road from Claggan into Glen Nevis.
People looking for access to Achintee Farm, The Ben Nevis Inn and the bottom of the Ben Nevis Mountain Footpath go through Claggan, taking the road down from the mini-market operated by Spar.
