Nevis Range mountain centre at Fort William
Nevis Range is Fort William's all year, outdoor mountain activity centre located 7 miles (20 minutes) from the town centre in Leannachan Forest.
Nevis Range operates the only Gondola mountain cable car in the UK. During the spring, summer and autumn Nevis Range is a mecca for downhill mountain biking. Situated in Leannachan Forest, and on the west-facing site of Aonach Mor, a 4,000 feet mountain, this visitor centre and activity centre offers over 30kms of paths and cycle-ways for everyone to enjoy.
On good days a scenic trip on the mountain gondola is an enjoyable experience. Bring the family along with their mountain bikes and enjoy some of the low level, beginner forest trails.
From December to April winter sports are available depending on Mother Nature and how much snow she brings to the Fort William mountains. Snow has been falling on our mountains since September 2009.
