Fort William Walks to Dun Deardill Glen Nevis, in winter
As you can see from the Dundeardill summer walk photographs, Glen Nevis is truly a beautiful place. As publishers of this website we often enjoy going on the walks with our family we recommend, and of course taking photographs, so you can see where we went, and perhaps enjoy from a distance. We hope to encourage you to visit Fort William and enjoy our local walks yourself.
The winter of 2010 has been a very cold dry period, which brings out the best in our mountains and glens. There's nothing more beautiful than to see snow-clad trees with a mountain standing in the sunshine behind. On this particular trip we met a young couple from Lanarkshire who were enjoying their first visit in Glen Nevis. A memorable afternoon - about 3 hours in total.
